Testimonials

The speaker, Ali, was excellent – very knowledgeable and total un-fazed by the persistent questions from the audience, some of which seemed very personal(!)

Ali was clearly knowledgeable and armed with very effective statistics.
Ali came across as passionate about the subject and the fact that she was one of the 1% that survive past 10 years with it made you want to listen more.
Ali didn’t talk ‘down’ or ‘at’ you, she just talked ‘to’ you.
I’m just going to put 5 pound coins in the box now!

Thank you very much for organising this and special thanks to Ali and Lu. These are most valuable communications and this was especially so being delivered by someone with first-hand experience of the condition.
It was very informative and I really liked the interactivity with the clickers.

I sat in admiration of the energy she had in forming this charity and the steely determination to make a difference in the world having had this condition invade her life.

Ali is an inspiring presenter. I knew Pancreatic cancer was bad, but I didn’t know how common it was. I am shocked at how little funding there is for such a common and deadly cancer.

Ali came across as knowledgeable, flowing and engaging.

None the less very good, I will be making a donation.

I’ll be using the “symptoms” as a safety share for weeks to come.

Within the next few years I will be looking at retirement from my particular occupation and am planning to utilise some of my new found freedom and time in helping a variety of charities. I think I will be adding this to the list of possibilities.

Many thanks for the invite. I thought it was a really valuable presentation. Difficult to deliver a presentation on that sort of topic and they did it well.

The Pancreatic Cancer Action Talk was well worth an hour of my time. It was informative and thought provoking. If the session is coming to your office, I would encourage you to attend.

I will be spreading the awareness of this by talking with my colleagues and friends.

It was a really useful and well delivered session from my perspective.
All I knew was time is limited for those with pancreatic cancer diagnosis – and this was a very good insight.
I’m sure the gent who was asking all the questions had a personal attachment to this, but would have been a little more productive if others could have had some time to ask questions too.
The material delivered through an example of the cancer in a patient was very much the best way to promote the topic – I’m sure this was difficult to so – but has a massive impact on the audience, certainly did for me. I would like to ask them to promote this at locally hosted events to raise this to wider audiences who would otherwise never get to hear about this.

Please pass on my regards to Ali and Lu, they are clearly enthusiastic through unfortunate circumstances about Pancreatic Cancer awareness. Many of the facts and figures were truly alarming. The presentation was very well structured and delivered with passion. None the less very good, I will be making a donation.

I thought the interactive clicker device was good as it compared our perceptions with the reality.”

I thought the session was really good. The speaker, Ali, was excellent – very knowledgeable and total un-fazed by the persistent questions from the audience, some of which seemed very personal(!) The interactivity with the remote buttons was welcomed and a good source of humour. There was some good information in there and it was explained well.

An excellent presentation. Very informative found the questions and the electronic responses very good. Really good that we have these sorts of things. Long may it continue.

I think the interactive questions thing was a good idea.

The presentation was very well done and the audience participation was fun and gets you thinking about the seriousness of the disease.

very much enjoyed the presentation. Using the clickers (something I’ve not seen before) made it properly interactive for everyone present. As I said at the time it was probably the most professional Staff Wellbeing-related presentation that our HQ staff have had, and we’ve had a fair few now over the last four years.

I agree. I thought this was a powerful and thought-provoking session which has really opened my eyes and made me want to go purple for November. It would be good if everyone could wear purple one day in November to raise money for this charity

Employee at Iress

Me too excellent talk and a great way to engage with people via the feedback remotes. Shame more people aren't going to these sessions.
